Research and Implementation Division
The Research and Implementation Division assists local agencies and organizations through technology transfer and through the implementation and evaluation of advanced technologies in the urban transportation environment. Areas of research and implementation activities include highways, freight rail, transit (bus and rail), air, and ports & waterways.
System Reliability Division
The System Reliability Division, as part of the Transportation Operations Group at TTI, conducts a wide variety of activities in the advanced areas of transportation engineering. The core research areas for the System Management Division are corridor management, applications integration, technology development, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), system monitoring, and interoperability testing and assessment.
Traffic Operations and Roadway Safety Division
The Operations and Design Division has an active program of research in the traditional and innovative areas of traffic engineering. This division has a long history of producing valuable and implementable research results that advances the state-of-the-art and provide practitioners with the type of information they need to improve many aspects of the transportation system.
